Located on the Kohlmarkt in the most elegant district of central Vienna, the architectural design of the Rozet & Fischmeister store is strongly reminiscent of the Treasury in the Hofburg, the 13th century former main imperial palace in central Vienna. Rozet & Fischmeister was founded in 1770 and is one of Vienna's most famous gold and silversmiths, now run by its sixth generation. All this time valuable technical expertise has been passed on that is no longer common. Emperor Franz Joseph, but also Maria Altmann and the state of Austria were clients. This large butterfly, with its beautiful enamel, diamonds and ruby red eyes, was made by them around 1901.
